Apple Maps users are being directed to an inaccessible location when trying to reach the Gulf State Park campground, causing vehicles and RVs to get stuck. The route leads to a dead end with no roundabout, making it difficult for drivers to turn around. Park officials are urging visitors to report the inaccurate route in the hopes of getting the issue resolved quickly.

To report the issue, users should open the Apple Maps app and search for the Gulf State Park campground. They should then attempt to "drive" to the location that takes them through William Silvers Pkwy and click "end" to add the campground to their recent search history. After exiting the directions, users should scroll down to the bottom of the main page and select the following options:

  1. Report an Issue
  2. Report Route Issue
  3. Gulf State Park Campground
  4. Turn Left
  5. Check No entry and Turn not allowed
  6. Send

In the past few years there have been many discussions about golf cart usage in Gulf Shores. Actually there were problems implementing golf cart rules along all coastal communities. But in the last two years the rules have been followed and the approved roads for golf cart usage have been selected. All you have to do is keep the cart in good shape and have it inspected.
Gulf Shores Status Symbol
By News Staff February 12, 2025
When it comes to buying things, there can often be a gap between what a product is actually worth - and the value people believe it holds. And that perceived value can often make us splurge on something that we hope will make others believe we have an elevated social status. Take, for example, a simple leather handbag; you could buy one from CHANEL, or one from Target®. Both do exactly the same job - carrying around your ‘essential’ items, from a purse to house keys, tissues and more - but one is substantially more expensive than the other, and therefore signals something different to everyone who sets eyes on it: it’s a status symbol. It communicates that the owner has wealth.
