Coastal Alabama Chamber To Hold FREE Business Expo

A free expo for small businesses in Gulf Shores and the area

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber's Small Business Council will host the Inaugural Coastal Alabama Business Expo on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at the Orange Beach Event Center.


The event, presented by SimpliHOM Alabama, is designed to connect local business owners, entrepreneurs, and residents while showcasing the products and services of businesses throughout Coastal Alabama. The Expo will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and admission is FREE for attendees.


"We’re excited to bring this new event to the community," said Tim Lower, Chairman of the Chamber's Small Business Council. "This Expo is about creating connections and fostering growth for businesses of all sizes.”


According to the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, the county is the 7th fastest growing metro area in the United States.  Each month there are new retail stores, restaurants, real estate, construction and other industries opening their doors in the community.


Now new and established businesses can share and showcase their product to the public, while connecting with other business services. The expo will feature business that provide for year-round services to locals and tourist alike. Some of the industries featured can include:

  • Insurance
  • Banks and Business Financing
  • Restaurants
  • Retail Outlets
  • Auto Sales and Repair
  • Real Estate Services
  • Home Repair
  • Many More !!

Exhibitor booths are available for businesses interested in participating. Pricing options include:

● Premium Space: $495

● Coastal Alabama Business Chamber Member Rate: $250

● Non-Chamber Member Rate: $350 (with a $100 credit towards Chamber membership)

● Power Access: $50 add-on

The Annual Fort Morgan Oyster Fest is set to take place this weekend, February 22nd & 23rd at The Beach Club Resort & Spa. The event features all-you-can-eat oysters, live music, craft vendors, and various activities for attendees; including a larger kids area. After 15 years of dedicated service, Gulf Shores Police Chief Ed Delmore has announced his retirement. Mayor Robert Craft informed the city council of Chief Delmore’s intent during a meeting this week. While he will no longer be heading the police department, Chief Delmore will stay on the force as a special investigator until the end of his term, which ends in November.

Alabama's 14th annual Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is set for Friday, February 21, through Sunday, February 23, 2025. During this period, residents can purchase essential severe weather preparedness items without paying the state's 4% sales tax. In some areas, local taxes will also be waived, allowing shoppers to save up to 10% on eligible items.
