Sewer Maintenance Closes Part of West 1st Avenue in Gulf Shores

gulf shores road detour news

A section of West 1st Avenue depicted in the above graphic, stretching from Gulf Shores Parkway to West 1st Street, is currently closed. The shutdown is due to sewer maintenance work being carried out by Embassy Suites. The affected road segment is scheduled to reopen on Friday, February 23rd.

During the maintenance period, the city advises motorists and residents to use West 2nd Avenue as an alternative route to reach local businesses. The temporary closure is likely to cause some inconvenience, and the city extends its apologies to those affected.
