Paddleboarding and kayaking are not for the faint of heart. Not only do these water sports take discipline but also skill right alongside the thrill. Ike’s Beach Service doesn't just bring out the beach chairs and umbrellas to your favorite beach spot; they also have SUP boards and Volleyball net set-ups. They offer an array of water sport options, from parasailing to jet skies. We suggest trying out the Kayaks and paddleboards for a full yet fun workout while enjoying the local waters and salty sights. For your convenience and a delivery fee, boards, and boats can be brought to your chosen coastal location serving Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan and Orange Beach, AL.

Thursday, August 17th - A week at the beach wouldn’t be complete without a little outdoor music jam. Join the community as Music at Meyer Park continues with multitalented artist Johnny Sansone. Sansone began his career at the early age of eight years old. Since then, his skills have developed from everything such as piano to harmonicist and, of course, the guitar. He writes a lot of his own songs and is marked mostly as an “itinerant bluesman.” Finally settling in the great town of New Orleans, he now combines the tunes of boogie, front porch Cajun and Zydeco. A great way to end the summer of Music at Meyer Park and get down with a little Louisiana bayou Country. Don’t forget to bring a chair to take a beat from all the dancing feet.

Saturday, August 19th - The month of August is recognized as National Fishing month and not all Anglers care to ride in a boat. Gulf State Park Pier is the perfect spot for all the landlocked fishermen and women. Not only can you fish from the pier, you are likely to see different marine life while visiting. Sharks hang out around the sides looking for easy prey and the local Gulf dolphins make their way through as well to fill up on the fish. The Pier saw some major damage after Hurricane Sally, however, is currently open past the halfway point for all to enjoy. Make sure to bring plenty of bait, a cooler and don’t forget to take all cut lines back with you.
