Governor Ivey Makes A Delicious Jobs Announcement

News Staff • February 15, 2024

The vast majority of Alabamians support this decision!

conecuh sausage is available in Gulf Shores

Have you ever gone to the grocery store and found that the Conecuh Sausage is sold out? It is a tragic enough event to just push your cart back to the front and leave the store without anything else on your list.

Governor Ivey and the leadership of Conecuh Sausage announced a way from this tragedy ever occurring again... expand the manufacturing capacity and add jobs to the State of Alabama!

Conecuh Sausage is officially expanding their operation to a second location in Alabama and will spend $58 million dollars on the project. They will also add 110 people to their staff. At some point they were considering building the new plant in the Midwest. (we will call and investigate who had that horrible idea)

Governor Ivey stated “Conecuh Sausage is a landmark homegrown brand, and I am thrilled to see that the company continues to grow and thrive right here in ‘Sweet Home Alabama’.”

John Sessions, President of the company, and his son John Henry released an official statement: “We are eager to join the Andalusia community and add jobs and growth to the local economy while remaining in the State of Alabama.”

The Governor stopped short of declaring Conecuh Sausage the official food of Alabama but some letters to the State's Legislators may help. Until then, residents across the Yellow Hammer State can once again visit the store knowing a crisis has been averted.
