Young Leadership in Gulf Shores showcases local products

This week's City Council took time to feature the local leaders of the future. The Gulf Shores Junior City Council was introduced and the audience was informed about an upcoming event sponsored by the young leadership group.

The Gulf Shores Junior City Council is hosting a Spring Market on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Waterway Village. This youth-led initiative aims to showcase the best of Gulf Shores' local talent and products while fostering community engagement.

Calling all local vendors!
We're seeking passionate local producers, artisans, and food vendors who take pride in their craft. Whether you're a farmer bringing fresh-picked produce, an artist showcasing handmade creations, or a food vendor serving up local specialties, the Spring Market offers a perfect venue to share your products with our community. All vendors must be original producers of their goods, ensuring our market maintains its authentic, locally-sourced character.

Vendor applications are being accepted now through April 4, 2025!
Interested vendors can access the application form here:

The Gulf Shores Junior City Council Program is a unique and empowering opportunity for high school students to learn about municipal government, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact in their community. This program is designed for students in grades 10-12 who are interested in public service, civic engagement, and the operations of city government.
