The Gulf Shores Police and other first responders took quick actions

A shooting incident occurred on Wednesday night in the Surf Style Parking area near Gulf Place in Gulf Shores. The streets were filled with spring breakers. The Gulf Shores Police Department received a call about the incident at approximately 8:51 p.m. A 21-year-old male suspect was taken into custody at the Wal-Mart parking lot. A juvenile male victim was transported to the hospital, where he was later reported to be in stable condition.


The swift response by the Gulf Shores Police Department, along with assistance from multiple agencies including the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, Gulf Shores Fire and Rescue, and the Orange Beach Police Department, was credited by witnesses for quickly bringing the situation under control.


The Gulf Shores Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) remained on-scene

until the early morning hours, collecting evidence and speaking to witnesses.


The investigation remains open and active as investigators continue speaking to witnesses and

reviewing available surveillance cameras and cell phone video footage.



The names of the victim and suspects involved are being withheld due to their juvenile status.


This shooting occurred exactly one year after another shooting took place in the same general area.
