Gulf State Park Hosting Winter Showcase Series

Gulf Shores Event News

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism (GSOBT) is set to host its Winter Showcase Series for 2025, offering free lectures on local topics. The events will be held weekdays at 10:30 a.m. from January 13 through February 21, excluding February 4-6. Topics include military history, nature, cooking classes, and city updates. 


All sessions are at the Gulf State Park Learning Campus, and pre-registration is required. Registration is available at 
www.gulfshores.com/showcase. Due to high demand in 2024, early registration is advised.

Conservation efforts on Alabama’s Gulf Coast have taken another major step forward with the protection of additional land on the Fort Morgan Peninsula. Thanks to a donation from the Alabama Coastal Heritage Trust, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) will permanently preserve 13 ecologically sensitive lots, safeguarding critical habitats from future development.
