LuLu's Lighted Boat Parade Is December 9th

Many tourist and new residents in Gulf Shores ask "when and where is the Christmas Parade?" Along the Gulf Coast we do our parade a bit different. Of course they have to involve water and be accompanied by good food and drinks. Best of all they are hosted by a legend in the community. It is time for the LuLu's Lighted Boat Parade!


The magical night will start at LuLu’s on the Waterway Village with the LuLu’s Lighted Boat Parade! Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at dusk. The parade of decorated boats will then proceed along the canal and go past the viewing area of the Wharf in Orange Beach.


As Lucy says "We like to celebrate the Holidays Gulf Coast style with brightly decorated boats to light the night! Arrive early if you would like a table and stick around for the festivities".

LOL Festival Opens At State Park

Before the summer season starts it is time to honor the locals. The Gulf Shores & Orange Beach community will be celebrating this weekend at the inaugural L.O.L. Festival (Love Our Locals). The Festival kicks off today at the Gulf State Park’s Lake Shelby Picnic Area. Across the nation baseball fans celebrated the season's opening day. The City of Orange Beach kicked off its 2025 Baseball and Softball Season with a heartfelt tribute to longtime volunteer coach, David McLain. During the opening ceremony, Mayor Tony Kennon and the City Council surprised Coach McLain by dedicating Field 5 in his honor.

Tony Kennon, Mayor of Orange Beach, has taken his case to the airwaves and defended his position on the Jeff Poor's Show Wednesday. The show was broadcasted live on FM Talk 106.5.
