Tuesday, July 23rd - With summer almost a wrap it’s no wonder the entertainment is piling in for those last sunshine kicks. Orange Beach Coastal Arts Center will be home to a Community Block Party on the lawn from 6:30- dark. There will be a variety of activities and exciting outdoor fun such as bounce houses for the kids to get those wiggles and jumps out before bed. The open lawn will transform into a family fun shindig hinting carnival vibes including games, snow cones, popcorn, and special giveaways to name a few. The best part about this event is the showing of the town in big ways to pull this off hosted by First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores as a completely free event to bless our community before school starts. So, grab your people and meet up for an evening of friendships, laughs, music and dancing in true beach town form.

In an effort to maintain those initiatives and share with our visitors, the Gulf Coast Magician’s Guild President will be performing a free magic show with his grandchildren. No registration is required just show up, sit back and enjoy the show. Partnered with the Orange Beach Public Library and kids, the show offers both family and community workmanship with an awe and amazement topped with a little bit of comedy. Join Bruce Walstad’s ‘The Believe in Magic Show’ for all ages from 2-5PM at the Orange Beach Recreation Center.

Sunday, July 28th - Calling all lady anglers, fishing connoisseurs, or those that wish they were, this weekend marks the start of the 47th annual Mobile Big Game Fish Club Ladies Tournament. The motto of the MBGFC is the three C’s community, competition and comradery, which doesn't let up for this event. The tournament is open to female anglers, however owners, captains, mates and crew of any sex are allowed to enter with a team. This event will not have a flare start, allowing the boats to depart following a few steps after the Captain's Meeting. Boats must be cleared from the pass by 3PM Sunday. The weigh-dock opens Saturday 6-7PM and 2-4PM Sunday. Come out and see what these ladies have wrangled up over the weekend and cheer on your favorite anglers and teams for the big wins.
