Gulf Shores News Full Moon Paddle

The Orange Beach Wind & Water Learning Center is set to host the last Full Moon Paddle of the 2023 summer on Sunday, August 27th. The event, which serves as a fundraiser for the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, will take place on Wolf Bay and feature a 1.5-hour guided paddle across the bay to watch the sun set and the full moon rise.


The cost of participation is $35, with all proceeds going to the advocacy center. The event will also include dinner provided by Cosmo’s and entertainment by Basch Jernigan. Dinner and entertainment is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:15 p.m., followed by the paddle at 7 p.m.

Pre-registration is required for the event, and registration will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 25th. Interested participants can register online at Eventbrite under the event name "Wolf Bay - Full Moon Paddle - August 27." Registration forms are also available at Orange Beach City Hall.


The event is open to both experienced paddlers and novices, and promises to be a fun and rewarding adventure for all. Participants are required to bring their kayak, life jacket, and white light.

While he will no longer be heading the police department, Chief Delmore will stay on the force as a special investigator until the end of his term, which ends in November.
