The Gulf Shores Dolphins Dominated Again In The 2nd Round Of Playoffs

The Dolphins won the 2nd round game 41-0 against Charles Henderson from Troy

As the Gulf Shores Dolphins football team enter the 2nd round of the state playoffs they faced Charles Henderson from Troy, Alabama. The game was help held in Gulf Shores and the kickoff was at 7PM.


Gulf Shores started the game by kicking off the Trojans but the Dolphins quickly got the ball back due to an interception by the Dolphins. After an offensive push, Gulf Shores went on the scoreboard with a 3 point field goal from will Langston.


After kicking off to the Trojans, Ronnie Royal of Gulf Shores intercepted the ball for a "pick six" and Gulf shores was now ahead 10-0 still in the 1st quarter.


In the second quarter Kolin Wilson rushed for a touchdown and Will Langston was good with the PAT. The score was now 17-0 in favor of GSHS.


Still in the 2nd quarter, Gulf Shores Carter Byrd made an interception for a pick-six. The PAT made the score 24-0 with over 7 minutes left in the half.


The Gulf Shores defense kept the Henderson Trojans in check and attacked their offense on almost every play. The defense was in the Trojan backfield almost the entire first half. Otto Brewer and the defensive squad lead the way. The Dolphins defense contributed 14 points in the first half.


Charles Henderson Trojan's defense made a strong hold before the end of the first half. The half ended with the Dolphins in the lead 24-0.


The Dolphins received the kickoff to start the second half. Kolin Wilson (#6) then made a 66 yard touchdown run. Langston made the PAT and the score was 31-0.


The Dolphins defense caused a fumble and recovered the ball. Gulf Shores was not able to capitalize on the possession. After turning the ball over to the Trojans, Gulf Shore's defense  applied extreme pressure on Charles Henderson and got the ball back near midfield.


The Dolphins defense scored another pick-six in the 3rd quarter by Landon Everett. After Langston's PAT the score was 38-0 in favor of Golf Shores.


Later the Gulf Shores Dolphins took a chance on 4th and two for a first down. The offense kept showing their dominance  into the 4th quarter adding a field goal by Will Langston making the score 41-0.


The Gulf Shores Dolphins were able to rest some of the starters in the 4th quarter, while also running time off of the clock.


The Trojans made a 4th quarter push but did not score after a blocked field goal attempt by the Dolphins Meyers. Gulf Shores finished with a 41-0 win.


Next, the Gulf Shores Dolphins will play the Headland Rams, who defeated the UMS Wright Bulldogs. The game will be played on November 24th at 7pm. The game will be played in Headland. This will be the 3rd round of the playoffs for Gulf Shores.
