The Orange Beach Store Is A Destination For All

Since the recent opening of it's new location, the Orange Beach Store has become a shopping destination for tourist and locals alike. The store provides the official Orange Beach and OBA stickers, as well as, logoed shirts, hats, jewelry and beach gear. Their official Mako Gear section benefits the Orange Beach School System.


The Orange Beach store has over 10,000 square feet of area located in the Palm Point Publix Shopping Center. Upon opening the new building this spring there have been a steady stream of locals, Baldwin County residents and of course some tourist have stopped in.


Unique designs like the new "Orange Beach Islands" and the "Surfboard Cruiser" shirts are flying off the shelves. The Unique designs are because the Orange Beach Store has a Personal Graphic Designer in-house at the location.


The store has a large selection for men and women of all ages. Men's golf shirts and hats are some of the best sellers. The women's selections include casual and beachwear, plus many accessory items.


In recent weeks the Orange Beach Store has even added  large outdoor deck area so you can take a break between shopping sessions.

Shark Week has become a television event for the rest of the country but in our community the Gulf State Park provides a week of fun, education and fact finding. This year the Mississippi State University team will assist the park's staff in providing a week long journey into the world of sharks.

The area has so many options for fun on Independence Day. The Wharf in Orange Beach is gearing up for its annual Fourth of July street party. The party starts on Wednesday, July 3rd, with festivities beginning at 5 p.m. Families can enjoy various activities, including a bubble truck, surfboard simulator, bounce houses, face painting, and camel rides. There will also be a patriotic challenge obstacle course, a rock wall, and a reptile bus.

Foley is moving forward with plans to improve drainage in the Beulah Heights community. The Foley City Council recently approved funding for the design of the project to improve drainage in the community south of U.S. 98 and east of Juniper Street. Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich said the project in an initial step in efforts to improve drainage in the area.
