A Journalist Holiday

The team at Gulf Shores News would like to Say "Thanks" to all of our readers who visit the website for all the local news. We not only bring you information we have written, but as you will notice in our "City Talk" section, we aggregate news from around the nation that has mentioned Gulf Shores.

During this holiday we also are thankful for our families for allowing us to continue our journalistic endeavors. We thought we would share a few special THANKS we have from the writers:

  • Thanks to our readers who recognize that we do NOT use a paywall to make you pay for the news.
  • Thanks to all of our local businesses who advertise so that we may keep bringing FREE news to our area.
  • Thanks to the inventors of SPELLCHECK and GRAMMERLY. We don't always use you but we should!
  • Thanks to the PIOs (Public Information Officers) who send out timely updates for tragic events.
  • Thanks to our local politicians who allow us to ask a question, even when we see you outside the office.
  • Thanks to our "news hounds" who send us great leads and often provide some evidence.
  • Thanks to the Gulf Shores City Council (especially the IT Department) for the online video.
  • Thanks to the local coffee shops where we stop by to quickly post a story... and guzzle a cup.
  • Thanks to local Marketing Directors who provide details about their upcoming events.
  • Thanks to Apple, Pixel, Canon for always upgrading our cameras for better pictures.
  • Thanks to Shutterstock for having the pictures we cannot find or take anywhere else.
  • Thanks to our dedicated Facebook followers who share our stories and provide us new readers.
  • Thanks to our families for allowing us to take phone call at crazy times of the day.

MOST OF ALL...

Thanks to God for giving us this amazing community and environment from which we are allowed to report from!
