Benefit Concert to Aid Hurricane Victims Set for October 26th At Flora-Bama

Hurricane Relief Concert Flora Bama

A special benefit concert will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, to raise funds for communities hit hard by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The event, in partnership with Meeting of the Minds and the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, will take place at the Flora-Bama Tent Stage.


Headlining the show are well-known musicians Will Kimbrough and Mike Nash, performing in a songwriter’s round style. The concert will run from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, with doors opening at 11:00am. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event is limited to attendees aged 18 and up.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to support hurricane relief efforts for those affected by Helene and Milton. In addition to ticket sales, attendees can bring donation items for hurricane relief, with each item earning a raffle ticket for prize drawings during the event.

Mayor Robert Craft informed the city council of Chief Delmore’s intent during a meeting this week. While he will no longer be heading the police department, Chief Delmore will stay on the force as a special investigator until the end of his term, which ends in November.
