Body of Teen Missing In Perdido Beach Found

The body of a 17-year-old boy reported missing Thursday has been recovered in the Perdido Beach area, authorities said.


Daphne Search and Rescue assisted Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department after friends swimming in Palmetto Creek reported him missing.


A body believed to be the young man’s was recovered Friday morning after hours of search efforts by multiple agencies. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said even volunteers came out to search for the teen.

The identity of the young man has not been released.


His body will be sent to the medical examiner's office to determine the official cause and manner of death.

"The Sheriff’s Office will continue its investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event." the sheriff's office stated in a press release. "The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the first responders, Daphne Search and Rescue, and all the volunteers for their efforts. We would also like to offer our sincere condolences to the family during this time."
