Tuesday, June 11th - Experience the ultimate thrill with the whole family with Southern Rose  parasailing and dolphin tours. Wednesday, June 12th - Crafts are a great way for children and families to get together and bond and have something special to take away as a treasure. But, did you know that they are also helpful in many other cognitive ways, sand art for example? Colored sand activities, like most crafts, promote creativity and independence and can also help improve children’s motor skills, concentration abilities and decision-making. This week’s craft at the Orange Beach Public Library is sand art made into necklaces. After choosing their designs for the necklaces they will learn color mixing, develop reasoning skills and work on their hand-eye coordination while meticulously adding one bit at a time to come up with their best look for a special treasure to take home and enjoy. This fun event for all ages is free and will take place from 10:30AM- 1:30PM. Participants are encouraged to stay a while and check out some new books or hang around and read them there.
