Foley Music and Movie Nights Return This Spring

Family-friendly movies follow live music performances

Gulf Shores area event news

The Foley Music and a Movie event is returning to Heritage Park. The event will include food vendors and free bounce houses for kids.


This free community event features a live concert starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 18th at the park pavilion, followed by a movie shown at sunset. Guests are welcome to bring blankets or chairs to relax and enjoy the evening.


On April 18, Music and a Movie will include a performance by Chitlin Switch followed by the movie “Wicked.”


On May 16, Mid-Life Crisis will perform. The movie will be Moana 2.


On May 23, the concert will be by The Jason Abel Project followed by the movie “Despicable Me 4.”


The series will conclude with a performance by The Shrimp Shack Shooters. The movie will be “Mufasa: The Lion King.”


The series will take place each Friday evening except for the first two weekends in May when the Gulf Coast Balloon Festival and Art in the Park will take place in Foley.


Admission to Music and a Movie is free. Parking is available.

One of the great things about living on the coast is having a car that matches the life-style. While some cannot give-up a minivan for a two seat convertible, we can at least look and dream. The 16th Annual Bama Coast Cruisin' is set to take place at The Wharf in Orange Beach. This family-friendly event will showcase various classic and custom cars against the scenic backdrop of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Canal Bridge.

Orange Beach Town Hall

The Orange Beach Town Hall Meeting was held this week and covered a wide range of topics, from celebrating student achievements to discussing infrastructure improvements and addressing concerns about the city's future growth and character. The meeting kicked off with special academic recognitions to Paige Lipkey and Emory Adam Pate. Noting Paige's perfect score on the ACT test, and Emory's win of three first-place ribbons at the 4th annual Island Special Olympics.
