Four Local Restaurants Have Closed; Latest Is Fisher's

Fisher’s Restaurant, a beloved local establishment in the Orange Beach, just announced that it’s closing its doors for the final time on November 7, 2023. This makes the 4th restaurant closing in the area for the past month. Fresh off the Boat, Playas, O'Charleys and Fishers are now closed.


On the website fisher's left the statement: "Fisher's restaurant is closing its doors. Thanks for all the memories y'all!"


The Fisher's team added the following statement:


It is with heavy hearts that we announce Fisher’s restaurant will be closing its doors permanently on November 7, 2023.

When we opened our doors 10 years ago, we could not have imagined how blessed we feel today.

We are beyond grateful to the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores community for embracing Fisher’s and making memories with us that will last a lifetime. Your loyalty and support have been the cornerstone of our business and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you.

We would like to thank our staff, past and present, for being such an integral part of our restaurants and for helping us deliver exceptional hospitality to our countless guests over the years. Each of you will always be a part of our Fisher’s Family.

Over the next week, we hope you will come share one last meal with us and take in Fisher’s one last time.

A popular brewery in the area has changes ownership. The Big Beach Brewery has been in operation since opening its doors in October of 2016. The original founders, Jim and Julie Shamburger, opened the brewery in the Waterway District of Gulf Shores and have obtained national recognition for their original brew recipes.
