Monday, Nov 13th - The sun may be going down earlier each day, but that hasn't stopped the sandy shores from calling. This is a perfect time of the year to walk the beaches for early morning sunrises and early evening sunsets. Midday guests and locals can expect to see beachgoers still soaking up the day rays and some even cooling off their sandy toes in the salty water. For the one seeking solitude with nothing but gorgeous skies, the sounds of waves, and birds a calling times around the sun's rising and setting are recommended. Cotton Bayou Beach is a great place to start these walkabouts. This public beach is located 7 miles east of Alabama Highway 59 and .1 mile east of Orange Beach Blvd or (AL Hwy 161.) Just a short walk from the car to the shores you’ll find two boardwalk options to follow along to the open sand. Restrooms are available and outdoor showers if you need more than a shake to get the sand off. Don’t forget to bring something a little warmer to ensure the temperature for this adventure is as pleasant as the sights you will see.
