Gulf Shores Christmas Wish List

Gulf Shores News Wish List

The staff of Gulf Shores News would like to say Merry Christmas to all our wonderful readers along the coast and throughout the Country. We hope you have a wonderful holiday and we look forward to hearing about YOUR news on our Facebook Post.

So what are we wanting for Christmas? As a news organization we always want a compelling story each day but wee don't want it to include any harm to a person. So here is our Christmas List of Stories we wish for in the upcoming year....

  • We wish for all of the traffic lights to be perfectly synchronized so that no one needs to stop or honk their horn...ever!

  • We wish for the City's budget to be lessened because they no longer need beach cleaning services. Every visitor to the beach picks up everything before they leave the beach each day!

  • We wish for an app to be invented that provides restaurant reservations only to locals. We love our tourist but this new ordinance would pass with overwhelming local support.

  • We wish that the winds and tides would be calm when you have a day off. It is always tough when you wake up and realize you have to cancel your boat trip.

  • We wish for the Gulf Shores Dolphins to win the State Championship in every sport each year. But most of all we want all of the students to graduate with overall "A"s, and all are awarded Summa cum laude!

  • We want to watch the Mayors of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach settle any grievances like true men. Play a game of skee ball to determine the winner!

  • We want several billboards along Highway 59 which remind incoming tourist There Are No All You Can Eat Buffets less than $20. (might as well add the line that Crab Legs are from Alaska, since someone will post it online!

  • We want to report that the Building Commission meetings were cancelled for an entire month since No New Buildings were submitted.

  • We want to report that there will be no major road projects in the summer months. ALDOT, the County and the City Governments have created a new schedule of service which recognizes the busy seasons.

There are so many other joyful ideas we can add to the "WISH LIST" for 2024 headlines. Visit our Facebook page to add your idea and we may add it to the list here!
