Gulf Shores Plans Grand Independence Day Fireworks Event

The City of Gulf Shores is set to celebrate the Fourth of July with a stunning firework show, scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4.

Fireworks will illuminate the sky, originating from the center of the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier. Due to ongoing renovations, this year's fireworks will be launched from the pier's central location. This makes Gulf State Park and the eastern area of Gulf Shores Public Beach the ideal vantage points for spectators to enjoy the mesmerizing display.

The timeline of public access to the Gulf State Park Pier is as follows:

Tuesday, July 4

  • 7 a.m. — The Gulf State Park Pier will close to the public for firework setup.
  • 12 p.m. — The pier will reopen to the public 100 feet north of the firework launch site.
  • 8:30 p.m. — The Fire Marshal will close the pier and on-site restaurant.
  • 9 p.m. — The fireworks show begins.

Wednesday, July 5

  • 6 a.m. — Pier reopens to the public.

For information related to the schedule of operations for the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier, please call (251) 967-3474. For more information about the City of Gulf Shores’ Fourth of July fireworks, contact the Special Events Division at (251) 968-1171 or visit www.gulfshoresal.gov.

It is important to note that the discharge of fireworks within the corporate limits of the City of Gulf Shores is strictly prohibited without obtaining a permit.
