Halloween in Gulf Shores

As Halloween approaches, the Gulf Coast is gearing up for a week of festive events that cater to kids, families and thrill-seekers. From haunted trails and costume contests to festive bike rides and spooky paddling adventures, communities here on the Gulf Coast are coming together to celebrate the season. 


Residents and visitors alike can look forward to an array of Halloween-themed activities, each offering a unique way to enjoy the spirit of the season, whether you’re looking for family-friendly fun or late-night entertainment.

Afterschool Kids Club: Halloween Carnival Game Challenge

The Orange Beach Public Library will host a Halloween Carnival Game Challenge for kids aged kindergarten thorough the 3rd Grade. Play fun and silly carnival games to win a special Halloween treat!

Family Night at the Baldwin County Heritage Museum

Come join us at Baldwin County Heritage Museum from 6p - 8p for our Halloween Family Night

Tickets $10 per person donation entry fee - Photo Booth $10

You will be able to enjoy the following: Trick or Treat, Costume Contest, Haunted Museum, Clown Hunt, Dancers, Cloggers, and more. Halloween costume contest 6p - 7p. $5 donation per contest entry. Costume Contest check in by 6:30, winners will be announced at 7:45. Jilly’s Café Food Truck will be on-site.

Halloween Costumes and Cocktails Party Hosted by Treasures of the Isle

Get ready for a Spooktacular evening at our 13th Annual Halloween Costumes and Cocktails Party at the Orange Beach Event Center on October 25th... Featuring Live Music by The Groovinators, a Light Buffet, and a Costume Contest with Cash Prizes! This is a BYOB event, so bring your favorite adult beverages and mixers. We’ll supply the ice and cups. Come dressed to impress, but costumes are not required. Tickets are $35 per person. Don’t miss out on this chance to celebrate Halloween in style. We can’t wait to see you there for a night of festive fun and eerie excitement!

Trek or Treat at the Gulf State Park Learning Campus

Calling all ghosts and ghouls: get ready for the 5th annual Trek or Treat at the Learning Campus! Bring the whole family on Saturday, October 26th for a pumpkin-packed fall celebration.

Costume Bike Ride | 10 AM-11 AM -Creep it real on a themed guided bike ride along a trail here at Gulf State Park!

Festivities at the Learning Campus | 11 AM-2 PM - Including sweet treats, live creatures, games, science demos, music and much more! Rain or Shine!

2024 Foley Witches Ride

Foley Witches Rides will take place in Downtown Foley on Saturday, October 26. The ride will begin at 5:00 pm and will end with an after-party at Heritage Park. Riders must be over 21 and female.

All proceeds benefit community betterment organizations. 2023 Recipients include Family Promise, Lighthouse of Baldwin County, Foley Backpack Feeding Program, Turkey Take Out, Ivan Jones Memorial Scholarship, Foley High School, Foley Middle School, Foley Elementary School, Magnolia Elementary & Florence B Mathis Elementary School. Tickets on sale August 9. Tickets include race entry, t-shirt, and entry into the after-party. Don't want to ride? Join us for the after-party and enjoy live music, food trucks, and lots of cackling. $20 donation to enter and men are welcome at the after party. BYOB.

Perdido Key Witches & Werewolves Halloween Paddle Ride

Join us for a unique Halloween experience in Perdido Key, on top of the stunning Intracoastal Waterway 

Arrive at 11:00, check in, get settled, and the party starts at 12:00.

Bring your own paddle craft (or select NEED ONE, while supplies last) and don your best witch or werewolf costume for a chance to win a gift card from our local sponsors. This spirited community fundraising event has a $20 participation fee, which includes a costume contest, a planned paddle route, 2 live bands, games, and an added WATCH PARTY at SUNSET GRILLE & after-party at Hub Stacey’s.

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween night at Zeke's Marina on Sunday, October 27th from 5-10pm.

The Annual Fort Morgan Oyster Fest is set to take place this weekend, February 22nd & 23rd at The Beach Club Resort & Spa. The event features all-you-can-eat oysters, live music, craft vendors, and various activities for attendees; including a larger kids area. This year's festival features several improvements, including daily ticket caps to control crowds and prevent long lines.

After 15 years of dedicated service, Gulf Shores Police Chief Ed Delmore has announced his retirement. Mayor Robert Craft informed the city council of Chief Delmore’s intent during a meeting this week. While he will no longer be heading the police department, Chief Delmore will stay on the force as a special investigator until the end of his term, which ends in November.

Alabama's 14th annual Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is set for Friday, February 21, through Sunday, February 23, 2025. During this period, residents can purchase essential severe weather preparedness items without paying the state's 4% sales tax. In some areas, local taxes will also be waived, allowing shoppers to save up to 10% on eligible items.
