Many gulf coast local know the needs after a storm

There are many locals who have experienced a strong hurricane and the massive assistance needed to clean up and rebuild. Generous people along the Alabama coast are organizing relief trips to Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. These groups have provided assistance before to catastrophic events like the tornadoes on Tuscaloosa or the floods in New Orleans.


If you would like to provide supplies to the teams we have assembled the group information below. We all know that insurance companies and FEMA may not be able to provide enough help in an expeditious manner. Helping a neighbor is a coastal tradition.


The team of Cobalt Restaurant, Cosmo's, Luna's, GTs on the Bay and BuzzCatz have organized the following:

Helene relief programs

American Red Cross - North Carolina


Anyone who is unable to access needed information can call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). Visit redcross.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) to make a monetary donation or schedule a blood donation appointment. Individuals can also text the word HELENE to 90999 to make a donation.


Samaritan’s Purse


Samaritan's Purse is seeking volunteers and donations online. Volunteers will be deployed beginning on Monday, Sept. 30 to the High Country to provide aid. The purpose of Samartan's Purse to provide emergency aid to victims impacted by natural disasters. More information can be found by visiting their website.
