Gulf Shores Sports Bars

After Labor Day the residents and visitors to the Gulf Shores area tune into a different vibe every weekend and its call Football. Most watch the SEC powerhouses on Saturday and then watch their favorite college players on NFL teams each Sunday. The ritual last into Snowbird season and does not end until February.


So where do locals go to catch a game if they decide to leave the house? The coastal region has some legendary sports bars with lots of TVs, great food and best game food in the south. Here are a few places to visit if you and your teammates are looking to watch the next game.

The Sloop - A hidden dive located under the bridge in Gulf Shores. Fantastic food and big tvs in a small hideaway. Get there early if you want a seat!

Ole River Grill - Located by the Flora-Bama, they offer indoor and outdoor seating with over 30 TVs. Great food and waterfront view!

Island Wings - North of Gulf Shores on Hwy. 59 is one of the largest sports bars. Loaded with big screens and great wings! As they say "Get Baked" at IWC.

Perdido Key Sports Bar - A For those who are across the line, this sports bar offers TVs, pool and great food! A local favorite for generations.

Island Time Daiquiris - At the Wharf you will find lots of TVs and famous pizzas! Island Time has plenty of frozen drink machines and a full bar.

Sure there are many more bars with televisions but this list is a great place to start. May you have a great season and not lose too much in fantasy football or bets with your friends.

Travel on West Peachtree Avenue will soon be smoother after the Foley City Council approved road repairs. The council voted to fix the road near Foley Airport last week. Jeff Phillips, the city construction projects manager, explained that collapsed metal storm drainage pipes buried alongside the road had damaged the street.
