Inspections/Re-inspections run October through January

Gulf Shores Golf Cart News

The Orange Beach Police Department has scheduled dates from October through January for golf cart re-inspections and permit registrations. Support Services Technicians and officers will visit neighborhoods listed below on the specified dates to conduct the inspections.

Golf cart owners must meet all requirements to pass inspection/re-inspection. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and required equipment are necessary. If any of these are missing, the cart will fail the re-inspection, and the permit will not be renewed. If the cart passes, a $100 fee will be collected on-site. Payment can be made with cash, check, or credit card.

The permit will be valid for four years, and owners will receive two renewal decals for 2025-28, which will be placed over the current permit stickers.
