The City of Orange Beach has introduced a new resident beach access parking program, beginning now. Specifically designed for residents who live within the city limits of Orange Beach, this program provides access to the City Beach by providing eligible residents with a pass for parking. Situated at 25700 Perdido Beach Blvd., just to the east of the CoastAL Restaurant, this program is for those with a valid Alabama driver’s license with an Orange Beach address.

Resident Beach Access Parking

Beginning in March 2024, City of Orange Beach residents, who have a valid Alabama driver’s license with a physical Orange Beach address within the city limits, can obtain one pass for the resident beach access parking lot at 25700 Perdido Beach Blvd. Verified residents will receive one pass that hangs from the rearview mirror. The pass has a sensor that will open the gate in the resident parking lot. The pass will also be needed to exit the gated resident lot as well as the main site exit gate by the guard shack. Gates will go into operation on April 1, 2024. 

The pass is only valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 of each year and will need to be reactivated after Jan. 1, in person, at Orange Beach City Hall. If a pass is reported as lost, it will be deactivated and the resident will need to pay $100 for a replacement. These passes are completely separate from the Gulf State Park beach access passes. Patrons of the restaurant or retail store will use a receipt/voucher at the guard shack in order to exit the gates. (The utilization of the main exit gate will be at the discretion of CoastAL management.)

• The Resident Pass for the City Beach Access is available for qualified Orange Beach residents at Orange Beach City Hall. Only one pass per household will be issued. (The only form of identification accepted is a current driver's license with a physical address inside the city limits of Orange Beach.)

What is the location of the City Beach Access?

How do Orange Beach residents get a Resident Pass for the City Beach Access?

In order to qualify for an Orange Beach City Beach Resident Pass, an individual must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License with a physical address inside the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama. The “resident pass” can be obtained at Orange Beach City Hall, 4099 Orange Beach Blvd. ONLY ONE RESIDENT PASS WILL BE ISSUED PER HOUSEHOLD. 

Does the Orange Beach Resident Pass apply to Ono Island residents? 

No. To quality for an Orange Beach City Beach Access Resident Pass, an “Orange Beach resident” is defined by the City of Orange Beach, as individuals who possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License with a physical address inside the city limits. Ono Island is part of unincorporated Baldwin County and is not within the city limits of Orange Beach. Property owners and/or business owners who do not meet the Driver’s License requirements will also not qualify for a resident pass.

If my Resident Pass is lost or damaged, where can I get a replacement?

If a pass is reported as lost, it will be deactivated and the resident will need to pay $100 for a replacement at Orange Beach City Hall. A damaged pass can be returned to City Hall for deactivation and replacement as long as all pieces are returned. Otherwise, the $100 will be required. 

How do restaurant or retail patrons exit the property?

Patrons of the restaurant or retail store will use a receipt/voucher at the guard shack in order to have the gate lifted to exit the property. (The utilization of the main exit gate will be at the discretion of CoastAL management.)
