Gulf Shores up for two awards for USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice

Gulf Shores Best Small coastal town

Gulf Shores has been nominated for the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award in the Best Small Towns category.

This nomination places Gulf Shores in the spotlight, inviting both residents and visitors to participate in the online voting process. Voting for the Best Coastal Small Town category is currently open and will conclude at noon on Monday, April 1. Supporters can cast their vote once per day, per device, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. The competition is fierce, with the ten nominees receiving the highest number of votes being celebrated as the 10Best in their respective category. Enthusiasts and residents of Gulf Shores can show their support by voting for the town at the following link:

The nominees for the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards are selected by a panel comprised of editors from USA TODAY, 10Best.com, relevant expert contributors, and sources from both these platforms and other Gannett properties. This selection process ensures that only the most deserving small towns are considered for the award.

Beth Gendler, President & CEO of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, has expressed her excitement about Gulf Shores' nomination. She highlighted that both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores have previously made the top ten lists for several 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, which underscores the ongoing commitment of these towns to enhancing the quality of life for their residents and, by extension, enriching the experience for visitors.

For Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft, being nominated in two categories speaks volumes about the “Small Town, Big Beach” community.

“We are incredibly honored to be nominated for Best Small Town and Best Coastal Small Town in the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards,” said Mayor Robert Craft. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our residents and businesses who make Gulf Shores such a special place. We encourage everyone to visit Gulf Shores and experience our beautiful beaches, delicious food, and warm hospitality for themselves.”
