Paid Parking at beach access points

gulf shores parking news

At the beginning of tourist season the city begins a controversial practice for some visitors. Gulf Shores will reinstate paid parking at select public beach access points. The paid parking period extends annually from March 1 through November 30, with enforcement from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Residents Park Free with Decal
:

Residents of the City of Gulf Shores can park for free at all city beach access points by displaying a valid Hurricane Re-Entry/Beach Parking Decal. This decal must be permanently affixed to the driver's side of the front windshield. The East Gulf Place parking area remains exclusively for residents.

Visitors: Convenient Mobile Payment

Visitors are required to pay for parking at designated beach access points. Gulf Shores has partnered with ParkMobile to offer a convenient mobile payment option. To use the ParkMobile app:

  1. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
  2. Create an account.
  3. Enter the zone number posted at your parking location.
  4. Select your parking duration and pay.

This system allows users to find and pay for parking using their mobile devices, enhancing the beach-going experience.
