SAVANNA Opening In Gulf Shores, Continues Sunset Corkroom Tradition

News Staff • August 18, 2023

Located at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

The Gulf Shores culinary scene is about to experience a change. Chef John Davis, formerly of Sunset Cork Room fame, has opened a new venue named SAVANNA. After months of meticulous searching and careful planning, John is now the owner of the new location and has Executive Chef Tina Allen joining him at Savanna.

Savanna is set to open in September and will be located at 20499 Oak Rd E, in Gulf Shores. If the address looks familiar to you it is because the restaurant will be at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

In a recent media post the team stated "We look forward to bringing you the same hand-crafted menu and quality service with a new name. In honor of tradition, we will be hosting $3 House Wine all day on Tuesday and live music with Lisa Christian on Tuesday nights. In addition to an already outstanding Dinner Menu, you can now join us for Lunch Monday-Friday and Brunch Saturday and Sunday!"

To learn more about Savanna's new hours, private dining room, and more you can check out their website savannatherestaurant.com .
