Free Annual Christmas Show Combines Music and Charity

Gulf Shores Event News

The Expect Excellence Music Department in Orange Beach, Alabama is gearing up for its 4th Annual "Visions of Christmas" variety show. The free event will feature four performances from November 21-23 at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center.

Audiences can expect a diverse range of musical styles, including rock, classical, contemporary, and jazz. The show aims to cater to various tastes and bring people together for the holiday season.

Music Director Caleb Pittman explained the show's concept: "Everyone's vision of Christmas is different and we try to bring people together for a special show that aims to provide a couple of hours of happiness and entertainment for everyone who sees it."

The event is inspired by the University of Mobile's "Christmas Spectacular," as several members of the Expect Excellence Music Department are alumni of the university. Pittman wanted to create a similar joyful atmosphere in Orange Beach.

In addition to entertainment, the performances will serve as collection points for Toys for Tots. Attendees are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to support children in Baldwin County.

Orange Beach Creative Director Jessica Langston emphasized the show's popularity and urged people to reserve tickets early. While tickets are free, reservations are required to ensure seating availability.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on November 21-22, with two shows on November 23 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets can be reserved at orangebeachal.gov/performingarts or through the Performing Arts Center box office.

The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 23908 Canal Road., on the eastern portion of the Orange Beach Middle/High School campus. For more information, interested parties can email
