What Is Alabama's Favorite Side Dish For Thanksgiving? Survey Says Deviled Eggs

Each year the Thanksgiving host ask someone who is visiting to bring a "side" dish. Then the pressure is on to bring something everyone will like and not tease you about for decades to come. That brings us to the big question. What is your favorite side dish at Thanksgiving?


In a recent survey Americans were asked which side dish was there favorite for Thanksgiving dinner. As you can guess the answers varied widely depending on where the respondent was located. In Alabama the survey found that deviled eggs were the preference. Only us and the smart citizens of Indiana agreed. The remainder of the Nation chose from stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, sweet potato casserole and more. Here are the results:

On a "SIDE" note, Kelly Ripa has started an age-old feud by insinuating that stuffing and dressing were the same thing. The debate started on Monday when the longtime television personality, born in Stratford, NJ just 15 miles outside of Philadelphia, claimed that different parts of the US use different names for the herb dish but the statement didn’t sit well with viewers across the country.


Just so we don't start a feud in the south, we asked our culinary expert, Google, and here was the AI answer:


"Stuffing is cooked in the cavity of the turkey, so the juices soak into the ingredients, making it more flavorful. Dressing gets cooked on its own and needs extra liquid to make it flavorful." it also added "The term "dressing" originated in the 1850s when the Victorians considered stuffing to be too crude."
