Meet the Horse Soldier at Flora-Bama's unique event

Flora-Bama events

The Flora-Bama Lounge will host a unique event titled "Whiskey & War Stories" on September 12, 2023. The event will take place at the Flora-Bama Tent Stage, located at 17401 Perdido Key Drive, Perdido Key, Florida 32507. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, with the main program scheduled from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A post-party will follow at 9:30 PM in the Flora-Bama Dome, featuring entertainment by Mike Diamond.

The highlight of the evening will be a presentation by Will Summers, a retired U.S. Army Infantry Officer. Summers served as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and Special Forces. He was part of the ODA 595 Special Forces team, the first to land in Afghanistan in response to the 9/11 attacks. This team's unconventional warfare experience earned them the moniker "The Horse Soldiers," which has been depicted in the Hollywood film "12 Strong" and various books and documentaries. Today, Summers serves as a Brand Ambassador for the international award-winning ultra-premium Horse Soldier Bourbon brand.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the origins of the Horse Soldier, which began at ground zero during one of America's most historic moments. The event will feature a tasting of all three batches offered by Horse Soldier, appetizers, and a signed bottle of their straight bourbon whiskey.

Tickets for the event are priced at $75 and can be purchased through the Flora-Bama website. The ticket includes a seat for the program, a whiskey bourbon flight tasting, a pre-signed Horse Soldier Bourbon Whiskey bottle, appetizers, and an opportunity to purchase additional bottles.
