County Commission Invites Public Input About Subdivisions

Baldwin County Commission invites public input on potential new subdivision rules

The Planning and Zoning Department of Baldwin County Commission is set to host a series of interactive public meetings for feedback on the Baldwin County Subdivision Regulations. These sessions are scheduled for Monday, December 4, 2023, and Wednesday, December 6, 2023 – including a virtual participation option – followed by a final meeting on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

 

The Planning and Zoning Department is exploring potential and significant changes to the Baldwin County Subdivision Regulations related to the following issues:

  • Streamlines process for minor subdivisions,
  • Possible reduced requirements for large-lot, rural subdivisions, and
  • Possible new lot size criteria to ensure higher density subdivisions are adequately served by public resources and private services.

 

The public comment meetings will be held as follows:

Event news in the Gulf Shores area

The Foley Music and a Movie event is returning to Heritage Park. The event will include food vendors and free bounce houses for kids. This free community event features a live concert starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 18th at the park pavilion, followed by a movie shown at sunset.
