Donna Watts, President and CEO of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, has announced her retirement effective December 2024. Watts has been a key figure in the Chamber since 1997, contributing to the development of Baldwin County and its businesses for over 38 years. Prior to her tenure in Foley, she led the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce for 12 years.

Watts expressed gratitude to Chamber members and staff, stating, "I’ve had an amazing journey serving as your CEO and am grateful for the trust and hard work that have helped build a stronger community."

In her role, Watts also presided over the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation and served on multiple boards, including the Business Council of Alabama and the Coastal Resiliency Coalition leadership team.

Sted McCollough, Chairman of the South Baldwin Chamber Board, praised Watts' leadership and dedication, affirming that her impact will continue to be felt in the community.

Watts' notable achievements include initiating the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival and launching the South Baldwin Chamber Total Resource Campaign. She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her service.

Travis Valentine, currently the Chamber's Vice President of Investor Relations, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is slated to become CEO in January 2025. Valentine has been with the Chamber since 2015 and has been instrumental in member engagement and business recruitment.

Valentine holds a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University and has completed various professional development courses. He co-founded the Lower Alabama Young Professionals and has led initiatives that connected over 1,000 businesses to the South Baldwin Chamber.

"The Board of Directors is optimistic about the future under Travis Valentine's leadership as we continue to serve the businesses in our community," concluded McCollough.
