Whether it's the musical heritage celebrated at the Frank Brown Songwriters Showcase or the spiritual solace found at Worship on the Water, the week promises a rich tapestry of experiences.

Here's a curated guide to making the most of your week.

Emporium @ C      Monday, Sept. 25th - Stop by Emporium @ C for a true to its surroundings coastal-themed gift for a friend, a teacher, Christmas present for a co-worker or maybe just a little piece of the island to take home for yourself. The name may be changed from Emporium Gifts & more established 23 years ago, but their mission remains the same. This beach gift shop prides themselves on customer service that gives that extra small-town one on one homey feel with each visit. At Emporium @ C they believe not gone are the days when you find a shop and shop owner that you can build a lasting relationship with. Part of their mission is to continue to “specialize in distinctive gifts and jewelry” including local artists, authors, home accessories, flags, clothing and more. Make sure to give this quant and cheerful little shop a piece of your day to find the gift piece any receiver will certainly cherish all while supporting locals' family businesses.

Cruise Orange Beach  Tuesday, Sept. 26th - Come experience a boat tour unlike any other to date this side of Mobile. Marine and longtime Boat Captain Donald Fredrickson, better known as Scooter, has really pulled out all the shots to combine every other boat tour cruise specialty into one eventful tour. The “Fintastic” is part of only a few dolphin tours that take guests out into the Gulf of Mexico. Rather you cruise the back bays or coast under the Perdido Pass to the Gulf, this cruise promises one grand adventure. After spotting the wild local dolphins, guests can look forward to seeing them do what they do best in their natural habitat. This might include hunting for food while training their young, sleeping, or best of all, goofing off. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the scallywags aboard the “American Star” as guests may get an opportunity to suit up for water cannon battles and fend off the ship from pirates. Owner and the Captain, Scooter recognizes those in service with a special Military and 1st responder discount with valid ID. This family friendly “more than a dolphin cruise” also offers accommodations for most special needs guests wishing to have an up close and personal view of our local wild dolphins. Fun for everyone with memories that last a lifetime. Cruise Orange Beach has it all.

Worship On The Water   Sunday, Oct. 1st - Have you ever been to church in a bar? Unless you’ve visited Church at the Flora-Bama the answer is most likely no. Flora-Bama is famous and known all over the US as the bar that sits between the state lines of Florida and Alabama. Several years ago, the powers that be decided to try out another first at the Bama and started a little beach service. The gatherers have grown over time to weekly familiar faces, those seeking solace while on vacation or just the curious spectator. Now services are packed full and set under the “Big Tent” beachside to accommodate the flow of the crowd. Pastor John McIntosh, his wife April and their two children have a passion for the area as locals of Orange Beach and look forward to each week to seeing people get to experience the love of the greatest gift known to mankind. The Flora-Bama church is affiliated with 3Circle Church and veraciously named Worship on the Water. Enjoy a nice brunch after service across the street at Flora Bama yacht club or Ole River Grill for the sunny flip-flop version of fine dining.
